Crima Horizontal and Vertical Packaging Machine
Crima is an innovative and versatile packaging machine, requested by customers worldwide operating in the baking, fruit and vegetable, butcher, and mechanical industries. The success is due to the exclusive Lorapack patent, a packaging system that can operate horizontally, vertically, and on an inclined plane.

CRIMA, the secret of our success
Crima was the first packaging and bagging machine with a patented packaging system by Lorapack (it can operate in horizontal, inclined, and vertical positions). The success of this machine did not hesitate to manifest itself, as it is precisely this invention that makes CRIMA an innovative and versatile product, sought after by customers worldwide in various sectors such as bakery, fruit and vegetable, butcher, and mechanical industries.
Distinctive features of the packaging machine.
CRIMA can reach up to approximately 33 beats per minute (depending on the size of the product to be packaged and the type of film used).
CRIMA and CRIMA FAST, furthermore, they are composed of a longitudinal group of sealing wheels made up of three pairs: this group allows packaging with thicker film, in a modified atmosphere with coupled film (insertion of gas or alcohol into the bags to avoid the formation of mould, eliminating the oxygen and increasing the life of the product).
The reel holder is bridge type, max width 700 mm as standard, max reel external diameter 250 mm.
The control and command touch panel is included in the packaging machine.
More details of CRIMA
With this packaging and bagging machine our customers can use various types of films (printed, smooth, perforated, transparent, mesh) in polypropylene, polythene and laminated polythene.
The possibility of processing various types of film is given by the sealing bars, specifically designed for this type of material.
With CRIMA it is possible to package horizontally (such as trays, tubs with low edges, etc.) by connecting the machine to the optional loading and unloading belts, or with the unloading chute, also optional, if it involves inclined packaging.
Optional
Among the accessories available in Lorapack, we also provide our customers with devices for gas injection and alcohol spray.
The device for preheating the wheels is also available: it is used to heat another pair of wheels, extending the sealing time of the film (for an airtight seal even of thicker films).
When the products to be packaged exceed 700 millimeters and a reel with larger dimensions is needed, the structure of the machine changes and becomes CRIMA 1000: a packaging machine that we make to measure and where the reel can reach 1000 millimeters in width (ideal for packaging panettone, kilo loaves and other products).
FAQ
The range of products that can be packaged with Lorapack’s patented machines is potentially infinite: meat; fruits and vegetables; bakery and pastry products; technical, textile, and hardware items; hobby and DIY products; picture frames; wooden profiles; home accessories (handles, curtain rods, etc.).
You can package loose products or tray-packed items (such as cheese, berries, cherry tomatoes), and even disposable cutlery from restaurants and pizzerias (a bag containing utensils and a paper napkin). The maximum dimensions of the product are solely influenced by the size of the film coil chosen for use.
However, it is not recommended to use Lorapack packaging machines for wrapping: fragile materials (glass, ceramics); products containing a lot of liquids (juices, sauces, mozzarella with liquid); very fine powders (flour, yeast, talcum powder).
“All heat-sealable films can be used, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, laminated films, and also biodegradable and compostable materials.”
The main difference between the two models is the speed, which is significantly higher in CRIMA FAST. Thanks to the presence of the loading belt, which is standard for this machine, and the translational cutting and sealing jaws, CRIMA FAST is able to increase packaging speed, reaching up to 50 packages per minute.
Subsequently, simply moving the loading belt, CRIMA FAST is able to work with the same degrees of inclination as a traditional CRIMA.
All machines, except for EASY CRIMA, are compatible for modified atmosphere packaging with alcohol or gas.”
Given the small size and not very high speed of EASY CRIMA, the addition of modified atmosphere packaging would further slow down the process, so it is not recommended.
“No, Lorapack machines require very little technical assistance, as they are easy to use.” If necessary, it may be sufficient to request technical assistance over the phone.
Naturally, to prevent the machinery from having problems, it is necessary to carry out normal cleaning actions at the end of the production cycle.
Sure! If the environment in which the Lorapack machine is used is humid, or if barrel washing is used, it is possible to request that the machine be made of stainless steel.
For the first few times when you are not yet familiar with it, it takes 5, 6 minutes to change a reel. Once you’re familiar with it, it takes about 1 and a half minutes.
The machines use flat sheet films; not single-fold or tubular films.
